One's Contentment is not the Ultimate Goal in Life.

Many people mistakenly believe that achieving personal fulfillment is the point of living. When bad things happen, we might feel like our lives have no meaning if we believe that happiness is the ultimate goal. The truth is that we'll all have to deal with difficult situations and experience a lot of sadness and frustration.

The whole of life, including the good and the bad, the positive and the negative, is what I must accept. And if I can accept that, knowing that I'm developing as a result, then I can say that I'm successful and content. Learning and developing into a better version of yourself and expanding your horizons are central goals in life.

When confronted with adversity, the first step is to accept the situation as it is. As soon as you learn to accept your situation, you can begin to take the steps necessary to improve it. By challenging yourself in this way, you will develop into a more complete person. The point of living is to continue learning and developing as a person. There are always two sides to a story. Knowing you need the other to be happy is a priceless realization. To be happy, we must first accept this reality.

Finding Your Life's Calling is the Key to Contentment.

What makes us happy can be anything that gives our lives meaning and direction. You feel good when you have accomplished something or when you have helped another person who was unable to open a door. Discovering what makes you happy and how to do it Here are the two questions Alice recommends you ask yourself:

  • When asked, "Where will I be teaching classes each day?"
  •  Ask yourself, "Where am I learning each and every day?"

Take some time to think about the routine aspects of your life.

Whose upbringing do you most closely resemble as a parent? Do you act as a bridge between people, such as by referring them to a trusted individual, organization, or service? Do you offer comfort or care to certain people? When you ask yourself these basic questions, you begin to see how important you are to the world. Everyone can probably relate to saying something like, "Oh, I'm learning from YouTube," "I'm teaching my child how to brush their teeth," or "I'm teaching Executives how to coach." Simply by asking yourself some fundamental questions, you can establish that your life has meaning. — This is Alice Inoue.

Being Confused Can Help You Figure Things Out Later on in Life.

The future, like most things in life, is cloudy and difficult to predict. We must come to terms with the fact that life is inherently convoluted and will never be simple. Achieving the clarity, we seek requires zeroing in on the one action that can be taken right now to help us make progress. The things that are murky right now may help us see things more clearly in the future.

A man approached Alice and shared his financial woes with her. In his mind, if he had more money, he could buy better presents for his loved ones. He claimed that the low wages at his job were always an excuse. After that, Alice inquired, "Do you have a bank account?" How about a savings account? What kind of credit card do you have? And the answers he gave were all affirmative. When pressed, he admitted that the real reason he didn't give lavish presents was that he simply didn't care to. Not because he was strapped for cash, but rather because he wanted to put something aside each month for his kids' education.

With the Help of These Basic Inquiries, The Man Was Able to Gain Perspective.

It takes time and more than one optimistic thought to make progress toward mental clarity. It's a mental shift that needs consistent practice over time. Because of our laziness, we tend to accept anything that is said as true. Sometimes our minds are nothing more than half a bunch of garbage because we believe things, we are told about but never investigate. We should have known better after looking at our map. We need to start pinpointing the flaws in our worldviews and the places in which our search for answers is leading us astray. As we proceed in this manner, we will gradually gain insight. We need to take stock of our current situation before deciding how to proceed.

This interview with Alice will help you gain insights to find clarity in your life if you're feeling lost and overwhelmed, and from there you can start to figure out ways to work towards the life and goals you want to have. It's not easy to find your life's calling and fulfill it in a way that brings you joy. Yet you have the rest of your life to improve upon who you already are through study and experience.

6 Attitudes You Need to Have for Consistent Professional Development

For 44 years, 10 of those were spent teaching at the high school level and the remaining 34 were spent teaching and coaching at the college level, and I also served as an administrator in the field. Along with coaching, I have led basketball camps and clinics in the United States and four European countries. Many of the people I've had the pleasure of working with have gone on to have highly successful professional lives, and I consider it a great honor to have been associated with them.

Throughout my life, I've noticed six traits that I believe are common among the most successful people I've met. Listed below are six ways of thinking that can help you succeed at work and advance in your chosen field.

These Mental Attributes Will Help You Succeed in All Aspects of Life

1. Modesty

To a person, the most successful people I've worked with have been the most modest. The most successful people I've met in the fields of business, teaching, law, and medicine have all struck me as remarkably modest. True leadership requires the humility to recognize one's own limitations. Surprisingly, the most conceited people were those who had striven for professional greatness but had fallen short. This happened repeatedly, it seemed. In honor of its 75th year in publication, Fortune magazine focused its entire issue on the topic of decision-making. They spoke with prominent figures in the business, military, academic, and political spheres.

Good to Great author Jim Collins gave what I found to be the most enlightening interview. He made the observation that the three words that have been most frequently uttered by American business leaders in the last quarter century are "I don't know." Fortunately, I have worked under some knowledgeable managers in the past. In fact, it would be inaccurate to say that I collaborated with them. As a result of their superior knowledge, no one could work "with" them.

There were also leaders I worked with who would gather their top brass for consultation before making a life-or-death call. They were able to openly admit uncertainty, saying things like, "I don't know how we should handle this issue, but let's put our heads together and find the best solution." These modest leaders impressed me the most because they exuded confidence and strength despite their apparent lack of both.

"Talent is God-given, be humble," the legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden once said. Humans bestow fame; we should be grateful. However, pride comes from within, so watch out.

Concern

Successful employees value their relationships with coworkers. A key component of Wellness-Centered Leadership, which aims to equip its followers with the means to achieve both personal and professional success, is genuine concern for those in charge. University of St. Francis basketball teams regularly performed for visiting coaches at Nike clinics held in Chicago. They were required to perform for Bob Knight, the head coach at Indiana. Coach Knight had a reputation for being strict, so the players were understandably anxious. Our team's first drill with Coach was a complete and utter failure. Something went horribly wrong on our end. There was much hilarity among the coaches. Never before have 800 coaches gone so silent so fast. Bob Knight showed genuine interest in our team, and they were eager to continue working with him throughout the clinic. Those who actually care do show up. Those who succeed show concern.

Go the Extra Mile

People who are successful routinely go above and beyond what is required of them. The best workers are the ones who will do whatever it takes to fix a problem. Not only are they willing to go above and beyond, but they do so without being prompted. Jack Hermanski, one of my best friends and fellow coaches, was a special education teacher. As a "traveling" educator, he visited and taught at ten different schools throughout his district. Jack's school district had a meager budget, but it wasn't unusual. Jack cared deeply about his students and would not let financial constraints stop him from teaching them. Jack had to move his gear between schools every day, so he kept it all in his truck. Jack's truck, however, had some unusual hardware. He made a complete purchase. Jack made every effort to give his students the top-notch education they deserved.

Hearing

The importance of good listening skills, in my opinion, cannot be emphasized enough. There are many opportunities to practice public speaking in college, but I think students would benefit more from being required to take a course on active listening as part of their general education. The ability to listen attentively and respond thoughtfully is highly prized. [4]

If you'll excuse me, I'd rather share the insights of some eminent people on the topic of listening than my own: As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Listening to another person's point of view is one of the highest forms of respect." To quote Bryant H. McGill One of the most powerful acts of kindness is simply listening. "Most of the successful people I've known are the ones who do more listening than talking," said someone whose identity remains unknown. Baruch, Bernard

It takes courage to speak up, but it takes, even more, to be quiet and listen.

• "God gave us a mouth that closes and ears that don't," Winston Churchill Something must be learned from that.

• "Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply." - Anonymous Nothing, I say today will teach me anything. - Stephen Covey

• "I remind myself every morning: As a result, I can only acquire knowledge through listening. It's impossible to pay attention to two people at once, as Larry King once put it: "You cannot truly listen to anyone and do anything else." Peck, Scott

• This is something I have never considered. I take it you have. According to the same alphabet, the words listen and silence shares the same sounds. In the words of Alfred Brendel: Workplace success often stems from a person's ability to listen attentively and respond appropriately.

Always Educating Oneself

The brain is like a parachute. Open, it performs at its peak. Zappa, Frank Similar to listening, gaining knowledge increases one's status and is rewarded with deference. No matter what field you're in, you should make it a priority to become an expert in it. In the 1960s, I thought it was important for basketball players to lift weights. My only possible example of being "ahead of the curve" is this practice.

During the season, we lifted twice per week. We were doing strength training to get our players ready for the intensity of the games. We got to talk to the Chicago Bulls' strength coaches, which was a great opportunity. They were just like everyone else in that they lifted to gain muscle, except they went further. Additionally, they did weights to improve their athleticism. They demonstrated some exercises that not only built strong but also boosted speed. We tried new things and shifted up our routine a bit when it came to weight lifting.

Learning thrives on repetition. Physical skills can only be mastered through extensive practice.

Maintaining a Steady Pace of Work is The Sixth Quality I Look for.

I used to believe that hard work alone would guarantee athletic victory. This is no longer true for me in sports or any other field. In my opinion, working diligently and persistently over time is what separates average performers from those who truly excel. While nobody ever performs at 100%, the best of the best learns to dig deep every day and give it their all regardless of how they feel. Good athletes know how to rediscover their peak performance on occasion. Great athletes have the mental fortitude to put forth their absolute best effort the moment they lace up their sneakers for practice.

Here is how John Wooden characterizes success in his now-iconic Pyramid of Success: Peace of mind comes from accomplishing your goals and realizing your potential, and that's what we mean when we say success is the result of hard work. Accepting that there are no quick fixes to problems is crucial. You will reach your full professional and personal potential when you learn to give your absolute best effort every single day.

Put Together a Set of Rules and a Strategy for the Future.

To make the most of your time, try simplifying a routine by writing it down or planning out the next month in advance. In one comprehensive manual, a business owner or manager can detail every step of the company's operations. Each member of the team can benefit from this manual and play to their full potential. In addition to saving time in the long run, this will also aid your team members in getting their work done faster and more effectively.

For instance, Virgin America's frontline workers are given latitude to resolve customer issues within a general framework established by management. As a result of this, the airline consistently ranks among the top choices for travelers. Members of the team will be able to carry out their responsibilities and make their own decisions with less input from the manager if they are given explicit guidelines and goals to work toward. Moreover, it guarantees that you and your team won't waste time on unimportant matters and will instead concentrate on what's truly important.

Make Use of Experience and Expertise

The best way to succeed in life, both professionally and personally, is to make the most of your skills and knowledge. Capability, expertise, or erudition the essence of leverage is capitalizing on your strongest and most distinctive abilities.

Here are some ways to put your knowledge and experience to use:

Acquiring Transferable Soft Skills is a Must.

Having strong soft skills is responsible for 85% of career success, according to a study [4]. Success in many areas of life is possible with the development of soft skills such as decision-making, communication, and emotional intelligence.

Gaining more success in less time can be done by developing a number of soft skills. If you're a negotiator, for instance, brushing up on your communication and persuasion skills will help you win over customers more quickly and efficiently.

Put Your Skills to Use in a Variety of Contexts

Learning how to effectively apply your knowledge to new contexts is another way to gain an advantage in life. Consider how you can put your newfound knowledge to use to make a positive impact in your professional setting. Is there any way to make money, gain fame, or gain prestige by using your knowledge in a context outside of your current job?

The most influential people on social media use what they've learned to live their best lives. Here, let me illustrate this with an actual case. The widely acclaimed chef Jamie Oliver has parlayed his culinary expertise into an online celebrity. He's written books, collaborated with several major companies, and is generally flourishing in life. He's doing very well in his second career, which he launched by capitalizing on his prior experience. You can achieve the same results!

Take Advantage of Your Previous Successes and Experiences

Last but not least, you can move closer to the life you want by building on your prior successes. Here's an example:

Draw From Your Own Mistakes and Experiences

It can be very upsetting to have to face the reality of one's own mistakes in order to grow from them. After all, who enjoys blunders, to begin with? However, blunders can't be helped. So, the best course of action is to learn from them and use them to your advantage.

It will help you develop and steer clear of repeating the same errors in the future. Here are some of the most inspiring true stories of people who overcame tremendous adversity by learning from their mistakes or painful experiences: What Steve Jobs had worked so hard to create was taken away from him. True, Jobs was let go from Apple in 1985 because of a disagreement with the company's CEO. The setback didn't stop him from pursuing his goal, though. After launching a number of other successful ventures from scratch, he eventually returned to Apple and rose to the position of a chief executive officer there.

Houses Turned Down

Twelve publishing houses turned down J. K. Rowling's proposal for Harry Potter. Still, Rowling took the negative feedback she received and used it to hone her pitches for future meetings with publishers. She's become one of the world's most famous and wealthy women today.

Successes Should be Exploited

Gaining the most out of your successes requires applying what you've learned from one arena of your life to others. The vast majority of famous people and athletes operate in this manner. One way that Lionel Messi, a famous football player, capitalizes on his success is through endorsement deals with companies like Adidas, OrCam, Pepsi, etc. His annual endorsement deals are worth over $130 million.

Create the Life You Want Using Your Resources Effectively

However, if you know how to use leverage to your advantage, you can accomplish even more and live your best life. We hope that after reading this, you will have a much better understanding of leverage and its tremendous potential. If used properly, leverage of any kind can completely alter one's life. As a matter of fact, that's the secret to most people's success, right?

In The Following Ways, You Can Benefit From Using Leverage:

Achieve Greater Efficiency

If you can make better use of other people's time or your own, you can accomplish more in less time. You can increase your productivity and efficiency by either using technology or employing people to work on your objectives.

Make You Richer

To get the most out of your investments, you should do what Warren Buffett did and use your skills and knowledge to your advantage. As a result, this facilitates the accumulation of substantial wealth.

Assist in Advancing Your Own Development

Leverage can also aid in one's own development, whether through the cultivation of meaningful relationships or the application of lessons learned from the past. It allows you to access resources and opportunities that would have otherwise been unavailable.

Without a shadow of a doubt, if you know how to make the most of the circumstances you find yourself in, you can live the life you've always imagined for yourself. A more fulfilling and fruitful life is within your reach. It's important to "read the room" before committing resources like your time, expertise, or personal connections.

Prior to attempting to leverage a situation, you should assess the degree to which you already possess power or influence. Everyone isn't equally able to use leverage in their lives.

If you own a business, for instance, you can make better use of your employees' time so that more can be accomplished in less time. But as an intern, I guess that's not really an option for you. You'll need to find some other way to use leverage to accelerate your progress and success.

Everyone has the ability to leverage their situation in life. Even if you can't take advantage of other people's knowledge or experience just yet, you can use your own.

Here I'll share some concrete advice that can be used right away to start living the life you've always imagined for yourself.

Utilize One's Own Resources.

Almost everyone who has achieved great success has done so by making effective use of other people's time.

Use any successful entrepreneur as an example, such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, etc. They invest in hiring skilled workers and making the most of their efforts to advance the company. They give them responsibility and allow them to make choices for themselves in the work they do. This frees up the owners' time to concentrate on growing the company in other ways.

Take care to invest solely in activities that directly contribute to reaching your leverage goals.

This is how you can accomplish that goal:

Transfer Responsibility

Major tasks can be delegated to assistants, employees, or even family members to help you get more done and enjoy more free time.

Empowering your subordinates and employees is another benefit of delegation. Your employees will be more productive, which will benefit the company as a whole. Doing so will also free up time for you to focus on more intellectually stimulating pursuits. Work-life balance is improved, and the risk of burnout is lowered as a result.

Boost Your Dependence On Machines And Electronics

Technology allows us to make better use of our time and complete tasks more quickly. Seventy percent of top-level executives admit to spending 45 minutes to three hours a day on mundane tasks. By automating previously manual processes, much of this time can be recovered. There is software that can automate the sending and receiving of emails, for instance. The use of applications that allow you to accomplish more in less time is another way to increase productivity.

Using Your Resources Effectively to Create the Life You Want

Most of us wish we had more time, energy, or skills to get through our hectic schedules, which only seem to get busier as time passes. A few more hours to work on your personal finance goals or to build a passive income source. The fact remains, though, that many people are successful in their careers, juggling multiple side gigs while also living satisfying lives. They accomplish this in the same amount of time that you do every day. This begs the question, how is it that some people are able to succeed where others have failed?

Leverage is the obvious solution. They get what they want out of life by utilizing leverage. Today, I want to give you some advice that could change your life by using leverage.

What is Leverage?

If you've spent any time online at all, you've probably seen the word "leverage" pop up more than once. But what, exactly, does the word "leverage" mean? The Cambridge English Dictionary defines leverage as "the process of employing a lever." Leverage can also be used as a verb, meaning "the skill of making productive use of resources at hand." Having leverage also means having the ability to sway outcomes in your favor.

Accomplish Your Goals

If you apply this definition practically, you'll see that leverage is a tool for making the most of what you have to accomplish your goals. The greatest benefit of leverage is that it shortens the time and effort required to achieve your goals. Several forms of leverage exist in everyday life, each with the potential to bring about change. Let's take a look at the most important forms of leverage and see how they can change your life.

Leverage Time

Successful time leverage involves making the most efficient use of the time of others to achieve your goals. As a result, you'll have more time on your hands to focus on more pressing matters. Use of technology to automate or delegate a number of manual tasks is a great way to gain time leverage (more on this below).

Leverage in One's Own Life

In order to achieve most of your goals in life, you need to use the power of leverage in your personal life and relationships. To accomplish this, surround yourself with people who share your values and goals, and use these connections to your advantage.

Leveraging Skills

To leverage one's skills or energy is to increase one's success with less investment of time or effort. Soft skills are something you can work on and improve over time. If you're a writer, for instance, expanding your skillset to include email marketing and copywriting could be a great move.

Because of this, if you feel like you're holding yourself back from living the life of your dreams due to a lack of time, energy, or skills, then leveraging that limitation can be the best option. The time and effort you save using this method could be put toward actualizing your goals, achievements, and dreams.

The Operation of Leverage:

Leverage allows you to achieve greater success with less input from you. It either increases your own capabilities or lets you leverage those of others to accomplish more.

If you want to get a job, you could, for instance, ask a mutual contact to recommend you to the hiring manager. If they have the necessary skills, this can put them ahead of the competition and ultimately increase their chances of getting the job. Here, the applicant has improved their job prospects solely through the application of personal leverage.

Investor Serves

An investor serves as a good case in point. When it comes to their finances, investors can exert considerable leverage. They make use of their financial and investing expertise by purchasing stocks and other securities. As a result, they can sit back and watch their money grow year after year as they collect interest on their investment. They are merely putting their financial expertise and resources to use. Minimal effort, massive payoff. Warren Buffett is a great real-life illustration of this.

Financial Acumen

The famous investor and business magnate used his financial acumen to make wise stock market investments. From there, he rose to prominence as the wealthiest investor on the planet, amassing a fortune of over $100 billion. Leverage is based on this principle. It takes an asset (a company connection, financial know-how, etc.) you already have and uses it to create an additional asset (a new job or a return on investment).

Most Common Ways to About Self-Help

When you think about self-improvement, you may picture a pile of self-help books on your nightstand with inspiring, upbeat titles. However, behavioral change and positive psychology expert and developmental psychologist Sasha Heinz, Ph.D., argues that self-help isn't just about feeling good and forgetting the past but often about facing reality head-on and remaining optimistic about one's future. It is not light or meaningless. It's true everywhere and affects everyone.

Listen to this episode of the mindbodygreen podcast to hear Heinz debunk the three largest myths about self-help and happiness.

Read More : Mavie Global

Only Good Energy, Please.

Those unfamiliar with self-help may dismiss it as "positive vibes only" or "cheesy," as Heinz puts it. Saying something like, "That is completely false." In fact, focusing on the bright side alone won't help you succeed. Heinz argues that a person's pessimism is just as significant as their self-confidence and their ability to see the best in others.

"Brush that dream up against cold, brutal reality. You may find yourself wondering, "How am I going to get through these?"" Instead of living in an optimistic fantasy, success is more likely when you plan for the things that might not succeed.

However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't put in the effort to maintain an optimistic outlook before diving headfirst into a negative one. And yet, as Heinz puts it, "if you really want to convert that goal into a reality, your pessimism is on your side." "Some friction or tension within is useful, as it prompts us to take action. Forced to respond, we do so."

Not Everyone is Interested in Self-Improvement.

Heinz argues that self-improvement is not a character feature, even though certain people are likelier to pick up self-help books than others. We "pretend" that "this person is into it" and "this one isn't," but "we're all in this process of growth and development," she continues. That children grow, and change is something on which we can all agree.

No one should cease being encouraged to grow and be equipped for success just because they've reached a certain age. What if we carried on that way throughout adulthood, Heinz wonders. That's our big job in life, to keep developing like we did when we were youngsters. If you aren't making progress toward your goals, you may begin to feel stuck.

You Can't Shortcut Your Way to Mindfulness.

This last misconception may come as a surprise, but it shouldn't because we have many easy ways to improve your disposition. The misconception comes in the motivation: "This notion that you're going to find the shortest hack, to me, is something that decreases work," explains Heinz. As a result, when practicing mindfulness proves difficult, some may be tempted to give up on the idea altogether because of the false impression they've been given that it requires no work.

And yet, that doesn't mean you should abandon all attempts at conscious living. Modify the meaning slightly: "Avoid characterizing it as a "hack" for your brain. Changing your routine on a daily basis is the most important factor, "she explains. Using the trick may not make practicing mindfulness simpler, but it can make dealing with stress easier in the future.

Lesson Learned.

Despite the popularity of self-help books, articles on positive psychology, and discussions on the pursuit of happiness, we still need many details. Heinz claims that everyone could use a little more mental fitness, even though "self-help" has become somewhat nebulous (self-care following close behind). It won't be easy, but "every accomplishment needs a lot of uncomfortable action," she says.

Ways to Get Outside and Start Exercising and Feeling Better

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, you can always find an excuse not to go outside and exercise. Extreme temperatures are present. It's either raining or snowing outside.

Ok, I guess there are no more reasons not to.

Please Don't Blame the Weather

You are the one. You alone are to blame.

Why you aren't walking an extra thousand, or two thousand, steps around the neighborhood are typically attributed to the weather.

Anyone considering participating in the 30 Day Fitness Challenge would benefit greatly from performing their workouts outdoors on a regular basis.

Frank, my husband, found this website of minimalistic lines, and they immediately brought to mind the thing that prevents me from being physically active in the great outdoors. This thing called the Internet. Is it possible to quantify the time we devote to checking in on our social media accounts? Spending your time scrolling around Instagram or Facebook for cute cat photographs or watching funny cat videos?

Put down the smartphone or tablet and get outside for some exercise. Having you there will be a blast, believe me!

Strategies for Outdoor Exercise

For optimal health, doctors recommend daily physical activity of at least 30 minutes. Some people only have time for a brisk walk or run on the treadmill, but exercising outside is far superior if you can manage it.

Many types of outdoor recreation are available. Of course, not all of them are equally entertaining. Because exercising should be enjoyable, we've focused primarily on enjoyable options.

Spend some time catching up with someone while strolling.

Schedule a regular time to meet with your partner or a friend for a stroll around the block after work. It's a great way to get some exercise and catch up on the news at the same time. After spending 8 hours sitting at a desk at work, a short walk in the evening feels like a reward.

Take advantage of the weekend and have some fun.

During the week, we perform as many of our weekly tasks and errands as possible. Chores like doing the laundry and going to the grocery store take up a significant chunk of time, so they are typically done on weeknights after people get home from work. This leaves us with more time on Saturday to explore the numerous beautiful hiking trails in the Halton Region of Ontario (Burlington, Oakville, Milton).

Set Up a Meeting

We would both benefit from going on a trek or walk. Many of us work at desks. Some of the weight I've gained since getting married is attributable to Frank, my husband, who is a fantastic cook. On the weekends, instead of going out to breakfast, my partner and I like to pack a few snacks, our cameras, and go on a "date" hike.

I've included some suggestions for romantic hikes that are perfect for celebrating Valentine's Day.

Put Yourself to the Test with a Photo Shoot in Nature

As a result, you'll need to snap the pictures in natural light outside. Taking the best images is a pleasurable activity in and of itself, but it also provides a welcome opportunity to step outside and enjoy nature. While you may not be making rapid forward progress, you are still using muscle power as you clamber up and over rocks and roots on more rugged paths. To acquire the perfect shot, you'll need to choose the most advantageous woodland areas. Get out your cell phone or professional camera and start snapping away!

Take Advantage of Nature to Heal Your Body and Spirit

When possible, we take advantage of the outdoors for physical activity. Gardening appears to be our current obsession now that we own a home. We weren't big travelers before the birth of our son, but now that he's here, we can't wait to take him on adventures.

Outdoor exercise, such as hiking or cycling, has numerous mental health benefits in addition to helping you lose weight. You can't help but take a break from your gadgets and anything else is stressing you out.

In that case, why delay any longer? Get up and do something!

BEST WAYS TO GET LONGER HAIR

I am going to share all the methods I use and advice I've learnt today to encourage hair growth! I am aware that I wear extensions, but that is just because my hair is thin and since it hasn't always been this way. When I initially went up to college, I wasn't doing any of the things I'm describing, and I had gone from being brunette to blonde to brunette to blonde, etc. My hair was so very fried. I didn't learn any of these things until I enrolled in a hair school, where I also managed to get my stringy, fried hair to grow from just past my shoulders to a few inches past my boobs now! Here are all of my advices, then! I'm aware that some of these will seem obvious

1 BRUSH YOUR SCALP

That is, using a brush with wire bristles. This will encourage hair development by stimulating the cells on your scalp. I firmly swear by doing this (nearly) every night! When I first mentioned this, a couple of you asked for a video showing precisely how to do it. I almost made one, but I felt incredibly ridiculous because it's truly as simple as brushing your scalp! To avoid having to go the entire length of your hair each time, it does assist to do it in C motions, but any way you manage to do the job is fantastic. Do this as often as you can for around 5 minutes; it feels great too! A wire bristle brush similar to the one I own costs between $1 and $2 at any Sally's or beauty supply store or online.

2. APPLY HEAT PROTECTORS

Making sure your hair doesn't BREAK is the best way to encourage growth, therefore maintaining its health is important. Heat, in my opinion, is the main cause of damaged (i.e., non-growing) hair, second only to bleach. So be careful to use heat protectants that will shield your hair when using it.

3.VITAMIN E AND BIOTIN 3

Both of these vitamin’s aid in the growth of hair, and some individuals swear by them. My skin and hair both seem to benefit from vitamin E! Although it's off-topic, I enjoy Vitamin E since I believe it significantly enhances the health of my skin, hair, and nails. These are available at most Wal Marts, Whole Foods, etc.

4 WORK OUT!

I am a huge proponent of exercise for a variety of benefits, including hair growth. It is said to stimulate blood flow and encourage hair growth. I'm not sure if this genuinely promotes hair growth, but since exercise is excellent for your health, mood, skin, and other things, why not?

5 REDUCE THE TRIMS!

For heaven's sake, can we just chill with the trims? You've heard me say it before, and I'll say it a million times more. Years ago, when I worked as a hairdresser, clients would frequently remark they needed a trim. When I responded that I thought they didn't, saying that their hair looked healthy, they would invariably reply, "Well, it's been six weeks," which is not how it should work. How is your hair ever meant to grow if you don't get trims because it's that time of the month? Trims are given when they are genuinely required. Give your hair time to grow and only trim when necessary if you have been taking good care of your hair, since you may not need one for months and months at a time.

6.DEEP CONDITION

I am also very consistent with this, and it has helped my hair tenfold. I deep condition at the very least once every week. I wash my hair in the shower as usual, rinse the shampoo out with hot water, exit the shower, towel-dry my hair, then apply the deep conditioner and carry on with my day for around 20 minutes before rinsing in the sink with COLD water! If you must do it quickly, it is preferable to do it in the shower for 5 minutes rather than not at all. Just be sure to rinse with as much ice-cold water as you can stand. That will aid in cuticle sealing and keep everything beneficial inside.

7.DO NOT USE HEAT

As I've already stated, I think the main factor in hair damage is heat! Before I went to hair school, I told you guys that my hair was short and FRIED. However, after learning more about how to take care of my hair, I realized that I needed a complete fresh start. Because of this, I spent the ENTIRE summer without using any heat, and this was by FAR the thing that helped the most! In reality, I had returned to Utah after spending the summer at home in Arizona, and when I did, everyone kept asking what was so different about me. It was also because my hair was finally starting to grow. Summer is the best time to avoid using heat, but even if you can only let your hair air dry a few times a week or braid it at night to have heatless waves the next day, that will help.

8.EAT HEALTHY.

Numerous healthy meals can aid in hair development, and they are all readily available. It goes without saying that eating well benefits both your skin and your hair. The top nine foods are all beneficial for hair. 9.FILTER YOUR SHOWER HEAD

About a year ago, I started researching filtered showerheads after being horrified to discover that regular showerhead water includes chlorine. Sincerely, I was clueless. Even if it is a minuscule quantity, I don't want any chlorine in my blonde hair. Blonde hair is highly porous and will readily absorb substances, thus for me, a filtered shower head is a need! The chlorine molecules are essentially filtered and enlarged so that your hair rejects them.

10.GUARD YOUR HAIR AGAINST CHLORED

It goes without saying that chlorine is bad for your hair, so if you're going to swim in one, it's advisable to damp your hair first and, if at all possible, use conditioner. Because your hair absorbs water like a sponge, entering a pool without first applying pure water will result in significantly more chlorine in your hair.

11.USE LESS HAIR WASH

I genuinely don't understand people who wash their hair every day, mostly because I don't think I could even if I wanted to! That is a lot of work! Additionally, the more shampoos you use, the more vital oils that are protecting and maintaining the quality of your hair are removed from your hair. Additionally, the less times you wash it, the less often you'll need to straighten or curly hair, and the less heat, the better! I wash my hair twice a week, sometimes three times a week. On Tuesdays and Fridays typically.

12.UV AND WINDSCREEN PROTECTION

It should go without saying, but whenever you are in the sun, you should wear a hat or apply a sun protectant to your hair. Then, to prevent your hair from becoming a tangled, broken-off disaster in the wind, braid it!

Easy Steps That Will Help You Sleep Better

There are many scientifically supported reasons (and beauty benefits, of course) for the significance of getting enough quality sleep each night. The best part is that you can influence how well you sleep by changing your habits right before bed.

Techniques for Enhancing Your sleep Time

Here are five easy steps you can do tonight (and every night) to improve the quality of sleep you experience.

A Better Night's Sleep Is Necessary for These Major Reasons

In our efficiency-focused culture, it's common to hear a claim that a person needs only four hours of sleep each night. It's official; the authorities (including Health magazine's editors) have spoken. To act in such a way is not only counterproductive, but also detrimental to your health and happiness.

In addition to improving your health (sleep is necessary for cellular renewal), getting a good night's rest (of at least 7-8 hours) has been shown to improve a person's memory, concentration, and skin tone.

Better sleep at night has several positive effects on your health, including lowering your stress levels (via influencing your cortisol levels), enhancing your creativity while awake, and increasing your lifespan.

Now do you feel like crawling under the covers?

1.      Make Sure all Electronics are Turned off at Least an Hour Before Bedtime.

It's not a good idea to use electronic devices (such a computer or phone) in the hours leading up to sleep, even if it's only to read a book or listen to some relaxing music. Studies demonstrate that even our small electronic devices emit enough light to disrupt the brain and encourage wakefulness, as stated by the National Sleep Foundation. Turn off all electronics at least half an hour to an hour before bedtime.

Put your phone on silent mode at bedtime if you want to sleep better. This means you can ignore incoming calls and texts without having to constantly check it.

Along these lines, it's probably a good idea to make it a rule to never allow electronics in the bedroom (where temptation could strike).

2.      Your Senses Using Aromatherapy.

A pleasant aroma can help you unwind, ease your thoughts, and drift off to sleep. You can calm your senses by using a scented candle or essential oil diffuser just before bedtime. The relaxing effects of aromas like lavender and chamomile are well-documented. Moreover, the heavenly fragrances produced by these all-natural ingredients will transform your bedroom into a veritable haven. (Before turning in for the night, extinguish all candles.)

3.     Play Some Relaxing Nature Music

One of the greatest innovations is undoubtedly the sound machine. Is there a Nobel Peace Prize in the person's name? This is because they so richly merit it.

Listening to nature sounds can help you get a better night's rest, whether you like to be lulled to sleep by the soothing sound of waves lapping on the shore or transported to a faraway land by the tweeting of tropical birds. In addition, these devices are very excellent for blocking out background noises like traffic or a noisy neighbor.

If you have a smart home, you may simply ask your device to play sounds of the outside for you. When it's raining or the ocean is roaring, we love to listen. Also, I've found that our puppy, who is currently fast asleep next to me while I type this, sleeps better when exposed to nature sounds.

4.      Get Lost in a Good Book

In order to calm down and get some shut-eye, reading a book that won't tax your brain too much is a great idea. Reading inspirational or motivational stories, romance novels, self-help books, or biographies might help you relax at the end of the day. However, you should avoid anything that energizes you, such as thrillers, business novels, or strong plays, as they may have the reverse impact. Reading something that won't keep you awake is a good idea if better sleep is your objective. (I have lost count of the number of times I've slept off while reading a book about spirituality or self-improvement.)

5.      Perform Calm Stretches and Deep Breathing Exercises

Your muscles are probably aching and fatigued after a long, hectic day. Your body needs some TLC before night, whether you've been chasing after kids all day or typing away at a desk from 9 to 5. Relax tense muscles and increase blood flow to your brain with some light stretching and deep breathing before bed. A good night's sleep can be achieved with as little as 10 minutes of relaxation each night before bed.

Follow these 5 easy steps every night and you'll soon be enjoying more peaceful sleep. Over time, as you improve your sleeping habits, you'll awake feeling refreshed and alert. You may also find that your outlook on life improves (before your morning coffee kicks in), your skin becomes clearer, and your energy levels rise naturally throughout the day.
